This is a very nice late 19th Century Ottoman Empire Turkish Artillery Parade helmet, from what were the waning days of the Empire. Only a few decades remained before the empire, first founded in 1299, would collapse in the wake of the First World War. Even before that, the empire had been in decline for many years. The helmet itself is much in the style of British Cavalry helmets of the Victorian Era, even down to
